1960s Chinese dress coat which was made for the export market throughout the 50s and 60s in Shanghai. In a lovely burnished gold manmade satin jacquard fabric with a neat floral arrangement of honeysuckle, bamboo and cherry blossom in soft tones of pink, sage green, brown and blue. The neckline is traditional mandarin whilst the cloud collar element is over stitched and the front insert pockets have a half moon shaped design that is also over stitched together with the upturned three quarter length sleeves. Lined in a quality rayon caramel colour with side slits and a set of frog buttons at the front for access.
Labelled a size 36 and in really excellent condition with no issues. Best fit for a UK size 8-10 or US 4-6; however, it could be worn by sizes bigger if the jacket was left open. These look great thrown on over a dress or jeans.
